Global Business Services: a current snapshot
Over the last 12 months, KPMG has been conducting detailed research with Global 1000 companies on their shared services deployment strategies and operating models. Per the following snapshot, which captures the responses of over 40 leading companies: roughly 75 percent of organisations consider themselves to have multifunctional or GBS operations; cost reduction is still the number one business driver; finance is leading the way in terms of application and functional deployment; and analytics and big data solutions are an important emerging area.
We’ll be discussing the research findings in detail at Global Business Services Roadmap: Nordics 2015 – Driving Value and Performance, being held in Stockholm, Sweden on 28 and 29 April, 2015. We hope you’ll be able to join us at this complementary event, which is being jointly hosted by KPMG and Outsource. If not, we’ll be releasing insightful specifics on the research in the upcoming months.
