The Future of RPO: what’s next?

In the fourth and final installment of our video roundtable series ‘The Future of RPO 2015‘, our panellists get out their crystal balls for a look at what lies ahead for the recruitment process outsourcing space – and the collective opinion is a positive one, with the panel unanimous in their belief that the future for the space generally and for buyers of RPO is a bright one.

Key themes for the future include the impact of increased globalisation and the importance of being able to leverage a global footprint and standardised processes; the growing use of technology (as discussed in previous installments) – especially at the front end, improving the candidate experience; more reliance on predictive analytics and improved capabilities in this area; and increasingly strategic, intelligent partnerships, in particular in next-generation relationships.

Moreover, opportunities for the expansion of the RPO industry itself are visible in the form of the long tail of SME organisations currently under-served (or indeed ignored) by many suppliers. With a good deal of the burden of economic recovery being laid on the shoulders of smaller companies it appears that RPO could play an important role in helping to drive growth – good news for suppliers and national economies generally…
