Many businesses are failing to properly manage both external suppliers and non-core costs. The conventional procurement function in a vast majority of large organizations is failing. But the issue here is far deeper than simply pointing your finger at the team of people in procurement – in fact, I would argue, the problem lies in five very different areas.
